Picture and Opening Day game schedules will be posted on the OGSA webpage by May 1.

Important dates for the 2009 season will be:

Week of May 11, first weekly games for all House League divisions

July 27-August 2: Bantam Canadian Fastpitch Championships: Trafalgar Park

August 15: Novice/Bantam Burlington Interlock Championship Day

Week of August 24, House league playoffs start

Coaches Meeting:

To all OGSA coaches, the 2009 coaches meeting will be held on Monday, April 27 at Oakville Town Hall, starting at 7:00pm. Please ensure you attend this meeting as team lists, information binders, uniforms and equipment will be handed out during this meeting. There will also be a presentation on several rule changes that have been made for the 2009 season. The OGSA executive look forward to seeing all new and returning coaches at this important meeting.

Coaches and Sponsors Needed:

Coaches are still needed in the Learn-to-Play and Squirt divisions. Interested in coaching a team, please contact Tim Harche at tharche@hotmail.com

Sponsors needed! With the downturn in the current economy, community funds available to local, youth sports groups are very difficult to obtain. Sponsorship dollars help with the purchase of uniforms and equipment for all House League teams. If you or businesses are able to help the OGSA with a team or event sponsorship, please contact Tim Harche at tharche@hotmail.com .

Bantam Canadian Fastpitch Championships:

The OGSA Rep Angels will be hosting the 2009 Bantam Canadian Fastpitch Championships from July 27 to August 2, 2009. This will be a great opportunity to see elite level players from across Canada play in our own park. No House League games are being scheduled during this event to ensure all OGSA House League players have the opportunity to attend games and show your support for the Oakville Angels Bantam team.  Admission for all House League players is FREE when you wear your team jersey. Look for more details about the championships as the tournament dates get closer.
